We started studying French as total beginners; it was also our first experience of studying via Skype. We had a few misgivings, but the fact is that if you have a high speed internet connection, it’s just the same as private lessons with lots of advantages. We don’t have to spend time travelling to classes, and we can study anywhere, even when travelling. Lessons are easy-going and pleasant, and we look forward to each lesson. We listen to recordings, do exercises, and receive all necessary documents by email. Marie is a good teacher, and the lessons go by quickly and are interesting. She shows attention to detail, which is very important for beginners. The materials, too, are very well chosen.

As far as the work of the school itself is concerned, everything is done very efficiently: we corresponded with Yulia; she chose a teacher for us; we transferred the money, and right away began our studies.

I already knew that studying by Skype was a great opportunity to study with a native speaker, and also save time and money; then I came across the online school, Language Life. My choice was influenced by the straightforward and convenient payment methods, and also by the teaching staff.

I wanted to study with Florinda and, as I thought, she is indeed a wonderful teacher! She has teaching experience, knows the Russian language (she also knows English and French), which helps her explain the grammar, and she is mindful of the student’s wishes. The trial lesson and text helped in choosing the textbooks and in planning the lessons. I study twice a week. Each lesson consists of checking/analyzing the homework; grammar, reading, … but the main thing is that I listen and try to understand the living language, that we socialize and discuss different themes. I decided to study Spanish because I knew I could not easily visit with friends living in Spanish-speaking countries. At first, I wasn’t really comfortable with the idea of studying Spanish by Skype, but there wasn’t any other option because my work schedule didn’t allow for travelling to any sort of language centre. I looked for a teacher for a long time, and was very glad to find Juan. Juan is a very talented and well qualified teacher. I didn’t really expect that lessons by Skype would turn out to be so comfortable, productive, and interesting. The time flies by; the lessons are planned very well, and the atmosphere of the lessons is friendly and pleasant. But the main thing is that I see results, and that is very inspiring!
