The Croatian language (Cro. hrvatski jezik) is related to the Slavic group of Indo-European family of languages and is the official language of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Furthermore, the residents of the autonomous region of Vojvodina in Serbia speak Croatian, and it is one of the 24 official languages of the European Union. In total, there are about 6.2 million speakers of Croatian.
