Work Experience

Ion has been teaching languages for over 10 years. He started his career teaching English and Italian to Spanish-speakers. Since 2006, however, he has focused exclusively on teaching Spanish and Catalan, his two native languages.
Ion currently lives in Brussels and works as a Catalan teacher at Casal Catala (http://casalcatala.be/) and at the language centre of the Vrije Universiteit (http://www.vu.nl/nl/index.aspx). He also works as a Spanish teacher at the Cervantes Institute.

Ion has also created his own material and works as a proof-reader with European publishers on projects related to foreign languages.

Earlier on, Ion worked as a teacher of Catalan and Spanish at the University of Turin (http://www.unito.it/), as well as at several schools in Turin (Italy) and at the University of Valencia. Beyond this, Ion has taught the Valencian variety of Catalan as well as Spanish at “Route 66”, a language school in Valencia (https://www.route66idiomas.com/).

Ion has participated in numerous congresses, seminars and events in connection with teaching foreign languages. He has developed a unique method using modern pop music to teach Catalan and has conducted a number of seminars related to his method all across Europe.
Having recently begun his career as an online language teacher, Ion aims to help each of his students individually, creating for each a program based around their goals and interests.
