Work Experience

Dilfuza is an experienced instructor of Uzbek with a philological education.

She started her career in 2002 at the American Councils for International Education in Tashkent, where she worked as a translator and interpreter of Uzbek to Russian and English.

From 2005 to 2009 Dilfuza worked at the National University of Uzbekistan teaching English to first and second year university students. Besides teaching, her duties also included selecting suitable course materials, designing the curriculum and choosing the method of teaching.

In 2009 Dilfuza once again returned to translation. From 2009 to 2011 she worked as a translator, translating Uzbek texts for UNICEF.

In 2011 she moved to the United States, where she began work as an assistant teacher in a pre-school. [или “day care”] [я пока не знаю хорошего перевода для “воспитатель”. Если “teacher” не подходит, то можно просто “assistant” и все.]

In 2013 – 2014 Dilfuza worked with the company “Virtual Learning Twenty Four Seven” http://www.vl247.com/) as an online instructor of Uzbek language. She has taught students of various ages and levels, worked out her own exercises and tests for lessons, and created a podcast and instructional videos.

At the moment, Dilfuza works both as a translator and interpreter, and at the “Little Princeton Day Care Center” in New York.
